It is quite clear from my dealing with people, most people do not really care
what the Bible says, even though they will use it to defend their position
if it really says something different they will ignore the truth.
For those few who really care I will try to show why one of the modern
translations

of Exodus 21:22-25 is an error.



Although we call it pro Abortion It is really pro hatred of God a form of Idolatry.



Because it doesn't consider that the shedding of mankind’s blood as an attack on God doesn't mean that it isn't and attack on God.
Gen. 9:6 "Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man."

Some one once said that your liberties ends at someone else’s nose.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

It is self evident that the inalienable right of life is a higher priority than the pursuit of happiness.

Miss Poppy Dixon says, "Abortion is not a sin, though blasphemy and idolatry are. To say that human copulation (which the Bible calls unclean) has the power to bestow life is blasphemy. No mere act of man can negate the fact that only God bestows life, by giving the fully formed body, breath. Those that kill clinic workers, harass clients and attempt to legislate this wayward belief lead innocent believers down a road to murder and depravity. Follow the example of Jesus, let those that want Christ come to you. Do not force the grace of God on anyone. God has the power, not only to give life, but to save. As Paul says in Galatians 2:21, I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. "
Just because the blood of Christ can cover you sins doesn't mean that God approves of them.


The Bible describes this as licentiousness basically it means that you are using the grace of God as a license to continue in sin.
One thing the Bible makes crystal clear is that God will allow mankind to continue in sin for a time but that doesn't mean he approves of the sin.


Ezekial 37:1-6 If you think dry bowns that God brings back to life and the unique flesh of an unborn child are the same, you must think the moon is made out of green cheese.



Let me spend a short moment discussing survivability since it is a common rational for killing unborn children.

None of us are particularly survivable in this universe without the help of others and the right conditions for life.
We like to arogantly think we survive on our own but we depend on the knowledge and resources of those who came before us and each other.
Sometimes it is much easier to say something stupid than it is to explain
why it is stupid so please bear with me.

The quick answer is this:
In this translation the word miscarriage is interpreted from what reads in the Hebrew like this " the children come out of her".
The problem is this.
If every time children are dead when they come out of mankind. Mankind would not have survived. Another problem is in Exodus 21:23, to start off, "But if injury occurs". there are two reasons that this is not talking about the woman. If the woman is injured in Ex.21:22 , her injury is a forgone conclusion there is no doubt about it. The second reason is " injury occurs" is masculine and not feminine. It can only mean that it is talking about the child and not the mother.

This is the correct translation:
"When men strive together, and hurt a woman
with child, so that there is a miscarriage,
and yet no harm follows, the one who hurt her
shall be fined, according as the woman's
husband shall lay upon him; and he shall pay
as the judges determine."

My take on why the fine is levied, is because the baby is premature
and/or the stress on the mother.

The underlying point is that if God sees the negligent death of the unborn child as worthy of a Life for a Life then the premeditated death of the unborn mankind is worthy of Capitol Punishment.
